How To Communicate Clearly and Not Offend Someone By Mistake

HERE’S WHAT YOU LEARNED:

1️⃣ Words, in and of themselves, have NO meaning. The only meaning they have is what each individual gives them, so it’s important to appreciate that everyone WILL have different definitions of even the most common of words.

2️⃣ Frame your questions or statements in a way that edifies them or in a manner that doesn’t diminish them.

3️⃣ We all have an ego whose sole job it is, is to not be diminished. Anything that might diminish it, it will fight back (this is how armies are built!). Most people who haven’t worked on their enlightenment *from* their ego won’t have control of this.

💗 Give them a reason why you’re saying or asking the thing do. This pre-empts their own “mistaken framing” by your setting the frame and context of your question yourself.

💗 When you can demonstrate you can be considerate of others people’s acceptance or appreciation of your communication shows you have a very high quality skill: emotional intelligence. This is also incredibly attractive!
